The Great Harvest Seabake Part V

When the applause subsided after the final song, the five clams sat down with us.
"We have always wanted to join you for your Great Harvest Seabake but have shied away," Oceania stated shyly to Thanu from across the table.
"That's for sure," continued Atlanticus quietly, "We have heard that some bakes are called clambakes, not seabakes. We steer away from those as you can imagine."
"But," interjected Pacificus confidently, "this year Sebastian showed us a menu. When the sea turtle read it to us, there was no mention of clams, just wonderful food that we all enjoy. To thank you, we decided to initiate an annual tradition. If you'll have us, we will return every fall to honor you with a Clam Concert at your Great Harvest Seabake."
'We would be delighted,' declared Thanu, nodding at all five clams sitting primly in a row.
"To celebrate your fine voices," Annabelle added, "we'll now serve Thomas's glorious desert, white chocolate cake."
She and Anise trundled in, each on one side of a serving cart with the cake in the center. Gillian and Gwyneth were at the ready. The two field mice carefully cut one piece after another and served the cake all round.
After everyone had oohed, aahed and eaten their fill, it was time to pack up. Not one crumb was left on the pristine beach when Lumenesians and Anciennans bade each other good night. Soon all that could be heard were soft footfalls and whispers along the many moonlit pathways veining out on the sandy dunes of The Pearl Sea Coast.
