The Great Harvest Seabake Part IV

We heard the cheers before we saw the crowd below us. When we landed on the beach, delicious aromas of roasted vegetables laced the air around us. Sebastian climbed sturdily out of Annabelle's Thimballoon, turned, lifted me in his flippers and gently put me down on the sand. I was hugged all around. We all were. Then we were led, hand in hand, to the most splendid harvest table.

Never, never did food taste so fine. I ate every morsel served. There were roasted peppers and broccoli, parsnip soup, seaweed salad and breads served with generous amounts of freshly churned butter. The Hillside Whimbles contributed the finest apples, pears and muscadine grapes. Oh my! After our rocky flight, Sebastian and I were ever so pleased.

While we were finishing our meal, Master Thanu the Anciennan stood and spoke, "To complement this wonderful seabake and to celebrate the return of our Sebastian and Thomas, I have asked The Singing Clams to entertain you. A rare treat indeed! I now present Pacificus, Atlanticus, Nor'Easter, Wyndham and Oceania."

Five wee clams trotted out from behind the seawall. Four were dressed in top hats and tails; one in a sea green spangled evening gown and pearls. They bowed, curtsied respectively and cleared their throats. When they began to sing Caelumen ballads, we were entranced from beginning to end. Who knew these small clams were stars?
