"Thomas, do you see those two round specks to the left of us?" the turtle asked.
I peered over my Companion's shell to look. I did see those two specks. They were getting larger by the second.
"Do you think it's who I think it is, Sebastian?"
"I believe so, but how in Caelumen did they know how or where to reach us?"
Two Thimballoons were flying toward us.
"We're here, dear friends!" Annabelle the Sweet Pea Whimble cried out. "We are going to rescue you!"
Annabelle maneuvered through the rays of the star. She threw me a rope. "Hold on now, you two! You will be untethered in no time."
Gillian the Tiny Field Mouse scampered over the rope to Sebastian's back.
Annie B's agile Companion avoided the heat from the rays while skillfully untangling the turtle's two leads. In moments Sebastian and I were free.
Exhausted, we tumbled down into Annabelle's Thimballoon. Anise and her Companion mouse, Gwyneth, helped guide Annabelle and Gillian down, down, down through the bright colorful star tunnel toward Caelumen.
Before long we saw the moon's glow shimmering over The Pearl Sea.
