Sailing the Star-Filled Sea Part III

Sasha the Orchid Whimble ran into the bedroom. "Annie B. ! You must wake up."
Rudi, Sasha's twin, appeared right behind his twin. "Annabelle, if you don't come quickly, we'll all be late."
Annabelle stirred. "Stop it. For Caelumen's sake, stop the racket," she grumbled. "Give me a moment, you two! I've just had the most unusual dream. Our Anciennan hero, Thanu, and I sailed over The Star-Filled Sea. The underwater sparkled with the most enchanting stars. I wanted to capture at least five to decorate my cottage for the Season of Magical Light. But, I was very disappointed. I could never get them to stay in my net. Thanu told me they love their home too much to leave. He's right, of course, but I so would love to see that star sparkle in my wee cottage."
"That's some adventure, Annie," Sasha replied. "We'd love to hear more about it, but do you remember where we're going today? We're all to meet a Solstice Dragon and Rider in The Upper Meadows. Elfin dragon, Elvira and her Pillow Whimble rider, Duncan, have come back from their late summer night adventures. What stories they will tell!"
Annabelle was up and dressed in a flash. With her ribboned floppy hat securely beneath her chin, she met her Companion, Gillian, already floating in their Thimballoon.
The twins were waiting. In no time, the four were up and away flying toward the northern colony.
Floating in and out of the clouds, Rudi and Sasha were soon joined by their own Companion, Elspeth the Elfin Dragon. An aerial acrobat, she executed one "loop de loop" after another around the Thimballoon before zooming ahead to lead the way.
When the group quieted down, Rudi enquired, "Annabelle? Sasha and I have talked about your dream. We think we can create the sparkling stars you would like for the Season of Magical Light. Elspeth and Gillian could help us. We'll just need glue, pencils, brushes, cardboard, white paint, and glitter. You have all those supplies in your cupboard."
Sasha continued, "You do so much for us, Annie B. - baking tarts and shortbread. And, how about this ride above your Working Gardens? It's the least we can do to fill your home with many twinkling stars."
Annabelle was ever so pleased. She hugged Sasha and Rudi until all ears turned very pink.
Soon afterward, the weather grew cool. Days grew shorter. One evening while on a night ride, Elvira and Duncan chanced to see shimmering light coming from one of the Sweet Pea Whimble's cottages dotting the garden colony's landscape. They flew closer. Stars filled the tiny home. They were amazed. They had only seen stars like that when sailing the northern Star-Filled Sea.
Annabelle's dream had really come true. (la fin from The Working Gardens - Caelumen)
