This piece marks the first in The Seasonal Lantern Series. The Pillow Whimbles are often inspired to create Harvest offerings. The Pumpkin Patch Lantern is as serendipitous as any. Shaped much like a Pillow Whimble, it sports a segmented body that is reminiscent of the many round pumpkins grown in The Upper Meadows on Penstemon Farm. Trolliver, Delaney's Companion Lamb, thought it would be ever so fine to illuminate from the inside by designing cutouts throughout the body - round for buttons below the ruffled collar as well as tiny crescent moons for decoration on all other segments. Devon and Dillon loved sculpting the lid to look just like one of them - a head with a magical party hat, complemented by the blue collar. Of course each Pillow Whimble added dots and other magical patterns to complete the piece.
On many moonlit evenings, the Pillow Whimbles light lanterns in their pumpkin patch. As they walk thoughout the garden admiring the vegetable bounty, it looks like stars have fallen from the sky to light their way.
Tabletop: approximately 7" h x 4" diameter; 1 battery charged tea light included; do not use candles please!
