Anciennan, Nikki the Rose Coast Hummingbird, shares a close friendship with both Thanu the Sea Cat and Pagos the Emerald Sea Turtle. The three gather on Caelumen's sea coast every day for conversation. One day Thanu receives a message from King Thaddeus. Soon he leaves his two friends and begins his travels northward into Lumenesia. Nikki must wait until Thanu returns.
