Tunnelers the Guardians of The Spine

Tunnelers are both intelligent and hard working. Built much like mole with a long snout and fingered talons, these small beings are responsible for the creation and maintaining of the many crystal lighted tunnels in Caelumen. They have an acute sense of smell and hearing, compensating for their poor eyesight. Some tunnels parallel The Spine. Others run through this plateau from Lumenesia into Ancienna. One such passageway begins on the western edge of the Lumenesian Upper Meadows and continues through The Spine into the Anciennan Whispering Forest. All tunnels afford the traveler easier access, particularly when weather is harsh.
