Dougal the Elephant Sprite and Honorary Friend of the Whimbles

Dougal absolutely loves parties and picnics as much as his fantastical hats suggest. He also is a fine sea bather who adores Drucilla’s “Catch the Bubble Game.” When he splashes into the water, Drucilla blows a bubble that bursts from the sea right in front of his trunk, leading the sprite further away from shore. Soon, he finds he is swimming and batting first one, then another bubble left and right. Sebastian and Thomas soar out of the water to catch the largest bubble only to disappear underwater moments later. The game continues until one bubble after another float higher and higher, disappearing from sight. Later in the day, all gather to have a scrumptious dinner at Thomas and Sebastian’s cove, happy and ready for a good night’s rest.
