Harvest Patios

"Hillside Whimble Companion, Brill, here. We've been busy transitioning the two Patios from Summer to Fall. Before we began, we asked all patio plants permission to make changes. We know that, sensitive as they are, they are also willing for change to occur if it's for the good of all.
We were very careful removing the four tomato plants that had given so much delectable fruit July through the middle of October. We told each tender herb how grateful we and Miss Martha were for their participation in scrumptious summer meals. We transplanted perennials, explaining to them that they would flourish more in new containers. We whispered to the Japanese Maple how we looked forward to seeing its brilliant red fall foliage. We did a dance around the meyer lemon tree, singing praises to the ripening fruit.
After our industry, the Patios exuded a vibrancy indicating that each plant had indeed given its permission and full support.
Last but not least of the hard workers were the resident Master Patio praying mantis, Leonard, and his sister, Lizzie, who tended carefully to the Guest Patio. During the summer they had both grown into mature mantis and now enjoy basking in the Harvest Light." (la fin from Midtown, Atlanta, USA - Earth)
