1989-1995: Dimensional Work - Fiona the Frog from The Animal Court of Enchantment Collection - Private Collection
Fiona is truly one of the most enchanting of The Animal Court. She lives in a small spring-fed pond that has a narrow stream leading to and from it. Her eyesight has deteriorated over the years so glasses are in order if she is to see and chat with the goldfish that have grown big and strong in her water environment. Fiona greets her friends every morning when they come to harvest small amounts of watercress that grow in the stream below her. All who come admire her water garden with its beautiful pink water lilies and a white fragrant lotus blooms. She is intoxicated by the color pink almost as much as Phoebe the Pig. She loves her pink waterlilies, pink petunias that hang in baskets from the lowest branches of trees surrounding her pond, and the pink ruffled organza ribbon that is her choice of headdress. Of course, she had to add a particularly full white curled French plume to complement all the pink. Don't you think she is ever so fine?
